Managing Devices

You can manage and track all the devices from the Web Panel. Inside the web panel, all the device related functionalities happen in real-time. You can manage the devices remotely from anywhere and at any time. You can activate or deactivate the device from the web panel itself. You can practically control and access every single detail related to the device.

You can access the following device details mentioned in the device profile by clicking on the device name from the list view:

On the left-hand side, all these device details are mentioned.

  • Status 
    It shows the status of the device whether it is active or deactivate. You can control this device status by turning the slider on/of.
  • Battery 
    It shows the current battery status of the device.
  • Unique Id 
    Device Unique ID is mentioned here. As soon as the device is added a Unique ID for it gets created. 
  • Time Zone 
    It shows the time zone of the place the device is deployed at.
  • Added On 
    It shows the date and time at which the device was first added on. 
  • App Version 
    This shows the current app version running on the device.
  • Location 
    It shows the name of the location where the device is installed.
  • Device Description
    You can add a device description here. For example- iOS device.
  • Device Tags 
    You can define various tags for your device from here. These tags can help you to identify specific devices.

On the top menu of the device profile you can access all these device information:

  • Sync History
    Responses can be captured offline in Zonka and can later be synced. In here the full sync history of the responses captured in a specific device can be viewed. Sync history is viewed under the following heading:

    Survey Name: The name of the survey for which the response was captured is mentioned here.
    IP Address: The IP Address of the internet connection using which the responses were synced is stated here.
    Location Name: The location where the responses were synced is mentioned here.
    Sync Type: It shows whether the responses were synced manually or automatically.
    Date & Time: The date and time when the responses were synced is mentioned here.

  • Access Log
    It shows the details regarding the accessibility of the device. It is viewed under the following headings:

    User Name: The user who accessed the device is mentioned here.
    IP Address: The IP Address of the internet connection using which the device was accessed is stated here.
    Date & Time:  It shows the date and time when the device was accessed.

  • Uptime
    Under this list, the Uptime or the time when the device was functional for response capturing is mentioned. This information can help you counter any negligence or problem in the employment of the device. The details are mentioned under following headings:

    Start Time: It shows the date and time at which the device was logged in for capturing responses.
    End Time: It shows the time at which the device was either logged out or was made unavailable for response capturing.
    Total Uptime: It shows the total uptime of the device during a specific date.

  • Responses
    It shows the number of the responses that were captured on different dates under a list view.
