At Zonka Feedback, we’re committed to keeping your data secure, your private information private, and being transparent about our practices as a business. For any questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or email us at hello@zonkafeedback.com
At Zonka Feedback, we prioritize the protection of data and privacy of European Union (EU) citizens. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018, is a cornerstone of this commitment. GDPR applies to any organization handling personal data from EU citizens and individuals residing in the EU.
Zonka Feedback acts as the Data Controller for your company’s information and the personal data of your team. Rest assured that your company and personal data are securely stored in our state-of-the-art EU data centers and handled in strict accordance with GDPR regulations. For detailed information on how your data is managed, please refer to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
For billing and analytics purposes, Zonka Feedback may share your company data with sub-processors. We have taken diligent steps to ensure that all our sub-processors are GDPR compliant. You can find a comprehensive list of our sub-processors here.
As a valued Zonka Feedback customer, you determine which personal data is imported into your Zonka Feedback account, establishing you as the Data Controller while we serve as the Data Processor. We want to emphasize that Zonka Feedback does not transmit your users’ personal data or any survey responses collected through our survey solution to sub-processors. As a Zonka Feedback customer, you retain complete control over when and how your users’ data is exported to other systems, such as through our cloud integrations. By default, your users’ personal data and survey responses remain within our secure data centers and do not leave the European Union at any point.
Data Residency pertains to the requirement that data must be stored in a specific geographical location, often due to regulatory, tax, or policy considerations. Zonka Feedback’s data centers are strategically situated in the European Union, specifically within the EU-CENTRAL-1 (Frankfurt) data center of the AWS cloud infrastructure.
While Zonka Feedback may share your company data with sub-processors for analytics and billing purposes, it’s important to note that we do not transmit any of your users’ data or their survey responses to third-party processors without your explicit consent. Without any action on your part, such as when configuring our cloud integrations, your users’ personal data and their survey responses remain securely hosted on our servers and do not leave the European Union.
If your organization operates in a regulated industry and necessitates data residency in a location other than the European Union, we also have servers hosted in United States and are prepared to discuss alternative data residency options. Please reach out to us to explore these possibilities at hello@zonkafeedback.com.
To facilitate your GDPR compliance efforts, Zonka Feedback provides access to our Data Processing Agreement, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. If you require a copy of our Data Processing Agreement, kindly contact us.
At Zonka Feedback, we are dedicated to safeguarding your data and ensuring GDPR compliance, offering transparency and control to our valued customers. Your data security and privacy are of paramount importance to us.
